LIVE – March 2026 – Word Ladder Challenge – Win £10

Every day you will be given a starting word and a target word, and your challenge is to reach the target by changing one letter at a time. Each intermediate word must be a valid word, and you have two attempts to complete the ladder. Some ladders will be easy to climb, while others may really test your word skills. A brand new word puzzle awaits you daily.

All you need to do is transform the start word into the end word, one letter at a time. Any ladder that starts with the given word, ends with the target word, and uses only valid words at each step will be accepted, even if it’s different from the answer given. If you reach the target word correctly, you will earn 2 entries into the prize draw. Even if your attempts do not reach the target, you will still receive 1 entry just for taking part. At the end of the month, all entries will be pooled together, and one lucky winner will be drawn at random.

The competition started on 1st March 2026 and runs until the end of the month. The final question will be posted on 31st March 2026, with the winner announced here on 1st April 2026. The winner will then have 24 hours to claim their £10 cash prize. If the prize is not claimed by 11am on 2nd April 2026, it will be forfeited, and no late claims will be accepted.

It would help if the description of competitions gave an example of the layout of the answer. I put my first word followed by a comma then space and second word. Or is it first word space then second word. Does it matter if they are all caps or not?

I think maybe just write the middle 2 missing words?🤔
