LIVE – October 2026 – Halloween Horror Hunt – Win £10

Every day you will be shown a famous horror character, and your challenge is to work out the movie they are from. Some will be instantly recognisable, while others may really test your knowledge of classic and modern horror films. A brand new Halloween Horror Hunt awaits you daily.

All you need to do is name either the character or the movie they appear in. If you get either one right, you will earn 2 entries into the prize draw. If you can name both the character and the movie, you will still receive 2 entries, but it will show just how good your horror knowledge really is! Even if your answer is not correct, you will still receive 1 entry just for taking part. Put your knowledge of famous horror characters and movies to the test and see how many you can identify. At the end of the month, all entries will be pooled together, and one lucky winner will be drawn at random.

The competition started on 1st October 2026 and runs until the end of the month. The final question will be posted on 31st October 2026, with the winner announced here on 1st November 2026. The winner will then have 24 hours to claim their £10 cash prize. If the prize is not claimed by 11am on 2nd November 2026, it will be forfeited, and no late claims will be accepted.

I am really bad at this months games.

Okay, I’ve already said I dislike horror films but this really would be my worst nightmare. I have a phobia of dolls and watching this truly would be awful! 😧🫣😬

Me too, I cannot watch horror films, they give me nightmares.

The first time I saw this, I couldn’t stop laughing throughout 😁😂

I like this franchise, even though it is very dated.

You’d be in trouble watching Anabel then.

Even reading that gave me shivers because I can just imagine it. Is it one of those porcelain Victorian dolls? Because they are the absolute worst 😱😖😭

Sally, Annabel is based on a real life haunted doll that is kept in a sealed glass case.

Wasnt he Mister Babadook?

I’ve not seen it, but I just read the plot and it said Mister Babadook was the title of the story book, so yes, that was his name, even the way you have spelt it, by not writing Mr.

You said Babadook which should be enough for 2 points anyway.

That’s what came up when I searched for it and I just put in Mister Babadook for my answer rather than the title as well because it seemed encapsulated – I certainly hope I get my two points!

It looks like quite a good film, I should watch it one day.

Great film today. I remember watching it when it was released.

are you talking about day 11? If so I’ve watched it (It’s one of the few I have that you could call horror films) but couldn’t get past the bit near the beginning that was just shocking, and I can’t stand to see people in pain and it made me almost forget the rest of the film…so I should re-watch it one of these days but maybe just turn my face away during that bit with the nose near the start, if you know what I’m talking about 🫣😰

Draws are up now if anyone checks back here.

I put Bates Motel for yesterday’s as that photo comes up as from that on Google. 🤦‍♀️

Member
Stuart

Oh dear…..

At least you got one entry for having a go!

Member
Hilde

Oh no… an entirely different thing as Bates Motel is a TV show with a different actor.

Member
Susan

Hilde – It was originally a film that was released in 1987.

Richard Hillman was this person with a briefcase!

I’m confused Andrew, isn’t that Coronation Street? I know soaps can be depressing, but I wouldn’t class them as scary. 🤣

Wendy

Yep, defo corrie

When Gail discovered Richards crimes, she said to him “You’re Norman Bates with a briefcase”.

Julie

Ohhh I spelt Krueger wrong 😳

Member
Hilde

Do we have to write the name of the character as well as the movie? I just wrote the movie..

Member
Julie

Either one x

Member
Tracy

It is the film title Daniel is after, but I think the character is okay as well. I have just been putting in the film, too.

It says “name either the character or the movie they appear in”, so you don’t need to, I’ve also been putting both, not sure why, I think I’m just hoping that if I put something like “Leatherface from A nightmare on Elm Street”, I might still get a tick 🤣

At least you get a point for trying.

Congratulations to both last month’s winners. Good luck to everyone. I will not do well in this month’s games, as I don’t like horror films.

Member
Susan

Neither do I Tracy. Good luck everyone, and well done to last month winners.

Well done Denise. Hope you claim.
Good luck to the rest of us for October.

Really not my forté, I hate horror films, so I’m going to have to look a lot of these up I think…

Good luck to everybody with this month’s competition 🍀 (especially me, haha 😈)

Me too, Our Sally.
I did enjoy last month’s game.

I don’t mind some horror films, but I find many have weak storylines because they are more interested in gore, I’m not squeamish, but I think if you’ve seen one person’s blood and guts, how much more can possibly be deemed interesting 🥱

I love thrillers and sometimes they cross over into horror, so I think that may be the case with some of these, although I’m glad I checked today’s, I thought it was the other one, I wasn’t paying attention to what he was holding.
