January 2023 – Missing Letters – Win £10
Many of you will be familiar with the game show ‘Wheel of fortune’ where you have to guess a word or phrase where some of the letters are missing. That is the basis of this months challenge. Each day in January a different word or phrase will be displayed below. However, it will be missing several letters. You just need to work out what the full word should be and submit your answer. If you manage to guess the correct word/phrase correctly you will receive 2 entries into the draw. If you get it wrong you will receive 1 entry (just for giving it a try). All entries will be pooled at the end of the month and one winner drawn at random.
The competition started on 1st January 2023 and runs until the end of the month. The last question will be shown on 31st January 2023, with the winner being announced here on 1st February 2023. The winner will then have 24 hours to claim their £10 cash prize. If you don’t claim your prize before 11am on 2nd February 2023 you will unfortunately lose out. No late claims accepted.

I had thought today that the birthday lottery was no more as I didn’t get my daily reminder and when I googled their site I was told it was unavailable. I’ve since received my daily reminder so thank you.
Hi Patricia. Don’t worry, the site wouldn’t just disappear like that. The reason it went off was due to a hardware failure. It took a while to get it all repairs and everything back up and running but I got there in the end! All the best, Daniel.

It’s not a daily competition, in case that’s what you’re thinking…each person’s entries for the whole month (2 for every correct answer, 1 for a wrong answer & obviously none for the days where you don’t give any answer!) go into a ‘pool’ and the winner is drawn at the end of the month – the results are then posted at the top of the page, on the 1st of the next month (as the question changes at 11am, so that gives the usual day for the last one) and then the winner has 24 hours to claim; meanwhile a… Read more »

Doh, thanks. I got it straight away when I cam back. I was looking for a vowel after the first letter.
I have no idea what you are all talking about… It’s clearly a restaurant?
The clue was “takeaway” so I was thinking more of a food. As I said above I was trying to find a word with a vowel between the M and the D and could not come up with any word at all. When I revisited I saw McDonalds straight away.
