Congratulations Elizabeth on winning last month’s competition. Good luck to you and everyone else for this month’s competition.
Good Luck everyone. Fingers crossed!
All I could see initially was Racing car 😀
I know, lol! I would say to people to concentrate on the second word, it is something everyone uses multiple times per day, once you get that, then think very obscurely for the first word.
Sorry, I don’t see the point in giving obvious clues, that’s as good as it’s going to get.
That’s what I did concentrated on the second word and then I got it. I agree I don’t see the point in giving obvious clues, that’s part of the game. 👍
So did I Krispii. Then wondered who many people have a car in the house?
That was the first thing that came to my mind and then I thought no it can’t be that haha. I got it after about 30 seconds. I wouldn’t mind one of these myself when I get older 😊.
I worked out it was chair and very nearly put racing chair, living with a teenage son one of those IS a household essential! 😂
Me too, I had to look it up in the end as I couldnt get past that answer lol
Wow I really struggled with today’s. Even had to recruit my husband for help. (29th)
I used to have one growing up, it stayed in my childhood bedroom when I moved out, then my dad moved and I’ve no idea what happened to it.
Shame, I never had room for it when I first moved out, but I would like to contemplate the world in one now.
There is one more day before the start of a new game. I hope it will be as good as this month has been.
It wasn’t a shovel head then.
I am really not confident about today’s (28). Has anyone found it easy?
Have a think while in the bathroom
I think i got it. I find it very relaxing under this after a warm day. 👍
Thank you 👍
I found it quite easy, I think the 2 other clues should give it away.
Wow! I got it right, 🚿 I didn’t think the answer would be so specific, but it has it’s specific emoji, so why not.
Can’t wait to see the comments about todays(26th) ‘essential/common household item’……..lol
I know what you mean lol
It took me quite a while to get it
agreed! very easy to get but very questionable! lol
It’s up there with lampshade and limescale 😁🤣😂
Yes, not quite in the league of conservatory 😂 but definitely in the same rank as dishwasher/coffee machine/the king-size part of ‘king sized bed’, as far as it comes to “essential” items, imo anyway! 😁
I cannot believe I needed help with today’s 25th question. Once you know the answer, it is so easy. Lol
i needed help too but wouldn’t say it’s that easy!
I need a new one of these in the very near future as mine is playing up.. the light stopped working a long time ago and sometimes when you turn it on it doesn’t do its job. I need to keep an eye out for another one. I’m sure many people own one of them.
My light stopped working years ago. It still works but you just can’t see the food spinning 😅
Exactly and sometimes mine doesn’t even warm the food up, so I have to turn the mains off and on and do it again if frozen food, and then you start swearing at it haha
something from a Dire Straits song..
Don’t get nuked by today’s puzzle. 🙂
Hardly a household essential today
It’s not household essentials, just common household things, which this is.
The blurb says “Play now and see how well you know your household essentials! “
Yes, I missed that, sorry. Some would say it is an essential item lol.
You choose today to question which items are essential! As opposed to yesterday, a conservatory?
In the country of Spare Oom. IYKYK.
I think this Household Halves puzzle is getting easier to solve after 18 days of practice. Before I couldn’t figure out the answer to some of them without help. 🙂
Wait until tomorrow, normally you say something like that and then get a really difficult one which forces you to eat your words 😆
That won’t surprise me, if people start using the word “easy” a difficult one May appear. I’ve got most of them straight away, and I got one with the help of a comment somebody made. I think most of them are fairly straightforward so far but let’s see how it plays out for the rest of june. 😁
I have one of these, it was in my line of sight whilst I sat her puzzled and cheating on a word solver.
They weren’t my words to eat, but I still ate them. 😁
Alison, haha. You jinxed me. 🙂 I couldn’t solve today’s puzzle without help. It’s not a term used much in USA to describe a part of a home.
