I think this Household Halves puzzle is getting easier to solve after 18 days of practice. Before I couldn’t figure out the answer to some of them without help. 🙂
Wait until tomorrow, normally you say something like that and then get a really difficult one which forces you to eat your words 😆
Io think I have it .outside not at the back and over the door?
Yes 😁👍
How is it over the door?
Yes, I was thinking the same, I think it is the good old English language and all it’s confusions.
It goes above the front door and around it
A front porch in my country would be the actual space in front of your door, like the doorstep. I just looked on google what front porch means here and it shows pics of wooden things around your door frame. Another difference between countries I guess.
Yes, it is like in the USA, they refer to the entire front seating area of their property as a porch, I would call that a veranda. Yes, a porch here is just an extension of the front door, quite small, normally only big enough for your letters to be posted, an umbrella and maybe even a pot plant 🪴😁
I hope that is not a clue for today (18th) because that would be a strange place to keep it.
I was a bit unsure about today’s. I showed it to my husband, who had no clue, but as soon as I looked again, I think I got it. Time will tell.
I didn’t get it straight away either, I think I have got it tho. I’m pretty sure I’ve got it right. Even if it is outside. 😊
I thought this was household items like yesterdays answer, this is outside the house, but like limescale I maybe wrong lol
I got that one straight away again.. So far I struggled with just number 2. I think it’s just what pops into your head.
I only got 11 wrong which I thought was Limescale, popped into my head right away and could not see anything else.
Quite a few of us saw Limscale, and some could not see any other answer. My husband had to tell me the right answer lol.
Today’s (15th) good for doing work on & playing games among other things. I got it straight away. 👍
Today’s is hard
It just clicked
Wish it would for me😕
I would think everyone would get today’s right. (14th). I use mine multiple times a day, plus don’t own a dishwasher, so I do all the work not leave it to a machine to do. 😊
I miss my dishwasher having moved to a flat there is nowhere suitable to fit one.😒Due to health problems I find standing too long uncomfortable.
I can understand that I didn’t mean everybody, I know there are many out there with health conditions. It seems anyone who disagrees has to give you a negative response by tapping the –. As if i’ve said something wrong.. even though I haven’t. 🙂
Would a table top one fit? They’re smaller and you don’t really need too much space.
Purplevamp, I have looked into them. I once fitted one for my MIL, she kept it for 2 months then got rid of it so she was left with a hole in the counter top where the drain pipe went. She did ask if I could fill it back in😄
My daughter has a worktop one – it saves her hands as she gets dreadful eczema.
I have a dishwasher and use it sometimes. Mainly when I come home from work late and tired (I work in a supermarket) and then to find the sink full of used pots pans plates bowls cups glasses cutlery utensils etc.. I get annoyed (I have adult kids in the house) and shove the lot in the dishwasher. But if I have time before work and on my days off I always do the dishes by hand. It’s less expensive and really don’t want to be buying dishwasher tablets too many times.
Ok well it seems “finish” helps to look after this one. 😄
Today’s apparently live longer with Calgon 😄
Which would make Day 11 definitely limescale and not lampshade😂
Lampshade it was, i guessed right. 😊
My husband said Lampshade, I was stuck on Limescale and could not see anything else lol
lol i put Limescale forr yesterday , it fitted lol
Me too, I couldn’t think of anything else but I thought that’s more of a household burden than a household item.
That came to mind immediately, but I thought it was wrong, so I asked my husband, who immediately said Lampshade. I could not think of anything else but Limescale lol.
I did too, it took me ages to think of it…oh dear
Me too for limescale.
It is a common household item, I’d be surprised if everyone doesn’t experience it in one form or another in the household
Me too.lol. Was thinking that it’s not an household item.. but couldn’t think of anything else.
I also put limescale..
I got that within 2 seconds. Very handy over a bulb. Just hope its correct.. i think it is tho. 🙂
omg I know what you mean but I put something completely different which also fit
I just looked at today’s 11th and saw the wrong answer, and I could not get it out of my head. I showed my husband, and he shook his head, asked to look again and said the answer. Smartypants lol.
Did you see Limescale? That’s what I saw first and thought “that’s not a common household item”, although in my house it is as we live in a hard water area 😂
First thing I thought of 😊 and yes I live in a hard water area too.
Exactly the same for me!
Me too. Very hard water here.
Yes, I saw Limescale and could not think of anything else; my husband got the right answer. We don’t live in a hardwater area, but family members do.
We need to get a picture hint like last month.
You can find these outside in the garden and inside remember you have to water them regularly. Hope this helps.
That would make it too easy and no fun.
I had to look up today’s, but I should have gotten this easily, as I love this.
Yes, this one was tricky. Took me quite a while to get it.
09.06.25 – Essential 😉
VERY
These are a lot harder than you think. Took me ages to get today’s one!
It was a strange one for me as well, not sure why I didn’t get it straightaway
I needed help to solve #6. Though once you see the answer it seems so easy.
I had to go away then come back to it. It then did dawn on me too.
Did you pull yourself together?! 😉
I had to search for the answer lol, but you are right, it is so easy once you see it.
04.06.25 – Never heard of this item described this way
True, it should be mat
Bath Mat in our house!
rug would be more for decoration, mat is what you put next to the bath
dunno why donwnvoted , just explaining that a bathroom rug is for decoration and the mat would be what you stand on when getting out the bath
Perhaps because you posted it while the question was still live using both the words in the actual answer, a bit of a giveaway! Though apart from the timing, I do totally agree with everything that you said 😏👍
Well ive learned something new with todays answer, i have googled it and yes they do exist.
