June 2026 – Telly Teaser – Win £10

This Month's Winner Is…
Heather10
DOB: 15/08/1977
[Claim Expired]

Every day you will be shown an image from a television show, and your challenge is to identify the programme it comes from. The image may feature characters, a memorable scene, or another clue from the show. Some will be instantly recognisable, while others may test even the biggest TV fans. A brand new television-themed challenge awaits you daily.

All you need to do is name the TV show shown in the image. If you get it right, you will earn 2 entries into the prize draw. Even if your answer is not correct, you will still receive 1 entry just for taking part. At the end of the month, all entries will be pooled together, and one lucky winner will be drawn at random.

The competition started on 1st June 2026 and runs until the end of the month. The final question will be posted on 30th June 2026, with the winner announced here on 1st July 2026. The winner will then have 24 hours to claim their £10 cash prize. If the prize is not claimed by 11am on 2nd July 2026, it will be forfeited, and no late claims will be accepted.

Congrats Heather10, hope you claim 😁

Good luck everyone! I hoping to see some familiar names in the winners boxes 🤞

This series was so funny, the main character was hilarious.

Member
Alison

The first series was a bit naff, especially the original pilot where our lovable idiot was played by a different actor. 😳

This one has got to be the best of the 4, when I think of that Queen in real life, it’s how I want to believe she was.

Member
Sally

I hope anyone who puts [the answer] UK as their entry today gets disqualified, and ideally banned from the site 😜

Member
Hilde

Why?

Member
purplevamp

Because it’s the original one, just known as ‘The Office’. The US copied it and that’s why that one is called ‘The Office US’.

Member
Sally

Hilde don’t worry, I wasn’t being 100% serious hence the silly face 😉 and as you are from neither the UK nor the US I think you would be the one person I would forgive if you had/did! 😁

Member
Alison

I considered doing it! But I feel for exactly the same reason as you, I didn’t! 🤣

The USA copy so many of our shows, they are the US version, we are the original, no explanation needed! 🤣

Am I right Sally? I feel I am, seeing as we share the same brain, you can have it back later if you want. 🤣

Member
purplevamp

Did you ever see their version of The Inbetweeners? Bloody awful.

Member
Alison

Although I know The Office and I think Ricky Gervais is a great actor, comedian as well as a nice person (he cares for animals), I have never seen The Office! 😳

I know, it is inexcusable to love Friends, Frasier, Cheers etc and not England’s finest, but I will watch it, it’s on my list! 📃

I am going to need to add the Inbetweeners to that list also! 🤣

Member
Sally

Oh my god, surely they didn’t… How would that even… My mind has now boggled 🤯 I can’t even imagine, I’m not sure I want to!

Member
Sally

Absolutely! I can understand wanting to differentiate if you are actually an American, in the US, talking about the original version to somebody else American – in that case, fair enough. I’m really surprised at the amount of people who either did or were tempted to put the UK bit on from the comments though, I wasn’t expecting that tbh…

As for the brain, we’d better stick to our normal arrangement where I just have it one day a month; I think by now more than that would be too overwhelming for me 🤣

Member
STEVEN

The US version is way superior to the UK version!

Member
Tracy

Never, we do things a lot better than they do. 🙂

Member
Tracy

I did put the answer and then UK, as I wanted to make sure my answer was fully correct. LOL. I never watched either one.

@defairmens – our long comments under the rugrats thread have now gone so far down you have to click ‘load more comments’ to see them, and my fault because I took 5 days to respond to your last if you didn’t see it 🤦🏻‍♀️ if you just chose not to reply and keep it going that’s a different thing! And totally understandable lol – I just wanted to make sure before the month’s gone, because I put a nifty trick for sleep paralysis which works for me almost every time, and I didn’t want you to miss it so just… Read more »

I didn’t realise there was a rugrats thread, but I’ve just noticed your ps to me, honestly, don’t worry, I can’t even remember what I said and I can assure you it was not of any importance, I’m sure many will agree that most of mine are unimportant, just a rambling lady, passing the time, allowing her brain to go loopy.

Yuk! Lady? I remember the first time I heard that, it was when a mother said to her little girl “mind that lady” , I honestly looked around to see who else the little rugrat was annoying! 🤣🤣

Member

Oh no, sorry to hear your sleeping has been poor! Mine has too but not so much sleep paralysis but trouble falling asleep and restlessness. The heat hasn’t helped. I will definitely try that trick. I’ve tried calling out or vocalising to wake myself up but I struggle to do that even. Sometimes I sleep with a lamp on in the background. It doesn’t wake me up but it helps a bit with the confusion and disorientation. Luckily I never dream that I am awake when I’m not. Sounds kind of scary. 😔

Member
Sally

Ooo I don’t think I’d fully registered but that happens often when I’m struggling to wake up from what must be sleep paralysis, that horrible feeling of trying to shout out or scream and just nothing coming out…brrr, shivers down my spine! The sleep paralysis trick has been fantastic for me though and I wish I knew it many years before I did, because it does seem like especially when you are desperate to wake up more than anything it’s the last thing you can manage, and of course you’re going to throw your whole body (or voice) at it… Read more »

This show was so funny. I loved it. And it got me in to Simon Pegg.

Member
Tracy

I have not heard of this series, as I have never seen it. I did recognise Simon Pegg, whom I used to look for the series. He is a fantastic actor; we have seen him in a few very funny films.

Member
Alison

Many recognisable faces, but I’d not seen 27th either. I like Jessica Hynes, to me she is a true actor of her generation, not one to try to springboard off a soap opera, her credentials speak for themselves.

It wouldn’t surprise me if she got a main role in EastEnders now I’ve said that. 🤣🤣

Member
Hilde

I ws not living in the UK during this time so it never aired where I lived.

Member
Justin

I loved watching this show (day 26) every sunday as a boy! loved the storylines, the paranormal, the theme tune! I used to turn the TV high to hear the theme tune. I loved the characters And I had the t-shirt which I loved! 😊

Member
Sally

I just love your enthusiasm Justin 😃 and it’s another one I downloaded painstakingly onto dozens of rewritable CDs when downloading was in its infancy (ditto the Twilight Zone which is what I thought you were talking about until I checked!) and before streaming took over rather than having your own stuff which I don’t think is necessarily an upgrade 🫤 – do you still have the t-shirt? 🥰

Member
Tracy

I used to love watching today’s series. It was on after I got home from work.

Member
Alison

We used to love it (26), but it was always so dark, not forgetting we watched it on an old tube telly, we always had to shut the curtains and turn all the lights off to see what was going on, watching it during the day was a definite no-no.

Clue: their first names were Fox and Dana. 🕵️‍♂️

Member
Hilde

I wrote sex IN the city LOL I always thought that was what it was called.. oh well. one point for me.

Member
Julie

I did too

Member
Tracy

I always called it that too. I looked it up just to be sure. I think your answer should be marked as correct. I am sure a lot of us put it as that.

Member
Marie

Also guilty. I never watched it so that is my excuse!

Member
Alison

If you had all put “making love and the countryside”, that would be wrong, but “in” & “and” are quite immaterial words in the title, so I’m sure they would have marked it correct.

Member
DivitLad

now we’re talking, love these two charachters huh huh huh 🙂 I am Cornholio , need tp for my bunghole, Big on MTV back in the day , Now on Paramount+

Settle down Beavis 😄

Some might say today’s (22) is like Marmite, I love it, I’ve probably watched every episode many times.

Clue: The bumbling detective with his tatty raincoat, cigar and famous line “just one more thing”.

‘If’ there are any fans out there, one episode has bothered me for years “Any old port in a storm”, how did the temperature change in the cellar ‘prove’ a person died there? The evidence did not prove a death, only information about the wine.

Member
Justin

Personally I like it, and if I see on Sky I watch it still. You can’t beat the Old shows! 😁👍 I also love playing (detective) hint lol

Member
Alison

Did you know Justin that the first non-pilot episode, Murder By The Book was directed by Steven Spielberg. Columbo irritates some people, my hubby won’t watch it, but I think he’s great, it’s nice to see a load of snobs get outwitted by – what appears to be – a bumbling fool 😁

Member
Tracy

I loved Columbo too; it was so great how people underestimated him, thinking he was an idiot.

Member
Alison

His episodes also spanned from the late 60s to the early 2000s, so he did have a great following through quite a few generations. I can’t imagine anyone else doing the role justice, Peter Falk was Columbo.

Member
Justin

No I didn’t know that Alison, but I don’t know much about Columbo but I enjoyed watching Columbo. I totally agree with you tho. 😊

Member
Sally

I’ve never seen this – but given the fact I tend to agree with pretty much everything you say on here I might have to look it up 😁

If nobody can help you with the episode that’s puzzling you I wonder whether it would be worth looking on IMDb?

Member
Alison

I used to watch Columbo with my dad, I liked a lot of the shows he liked, just because he liked them, so you would need to start agreeing with my dad to ensure it’s for you Sally. 🤣🤣 The great thing about Columbo is you are not there to solve the murder, you see the murder in the first 10 minutes, you are trying to work out the mistake they made that allows Columbo to catch his killer. After posting I asked AI about that episode and they said, by law, it would not stand up in court, but… Read more »

Ooo I liked today’s (21) – and another one I didn’t have to look up at all (even second guessing myself lol), VERY much unlike the flag one 😆 they have been a few this month I’ve had to search, I’ll admit, but nowhere near as many – am I on my own with this or not?

Member
David

Other way round for me. I’ve known the flags but had to search for most of the TV programmes… apart from today!

Member
Sally

@David – I’m really, really trying to memorise the flags that have come up this month because at my ripe old age I absolutely should have learnt them by now (especially as they seem to come up on every other quiz there is! 😆)

Member
Daniel

I love todays! I have a very old copy of the novel, signed by everyone in that photo. Happy to report they’re all lovely!

Member
Sally

Aww Daniel, that’s great to hear 😀

Member
Tracy

I have only known a few. Yesterday I was wrong, as I had no idea what it was. I knew today, the 21st, as I loved watching this.

Member
Sally

Blimey Tracy, how on Earth did you escape from that?

Lol I enjoyed the first few series of it before it inevitably became disappointing, but I assumed everybody must know about it even if they never watched a single episode because it was absolutely EVERYWHERE at the time! 🤣

Member
Tracy

I didn’t watch that much TV at the time; I may have been working the hours it was on, and now we don’t watch anything. We listen to audiobooks and sometimes watch DVDs. We did watch Red Dwarf, though.

Member
Sally

I’ll be quite honest and say I got them off Pirate Bay because it was shortly after I got rid of my telly (and have never looked back lol) – I remember because I copied each episode onto a rewritable CD so that I could watch them on my computer with my mum, she would come round and have a coffee and watch an episode but I don’t think we ever finished them together… Ps. I totally agree with you though, I watch things occasionally on my laptop if me and my son eat together once in a blue moon… Read more »

I have missed a day again, and I have no idea how.

It happens to me too sometimes. I also have no idea how as I visit this site every morning without fail.

Ah, loved today’s (19th) as a kid, even though you could see the puppet strings!

Member
Tracy

My brother loved it; he had Tracy Island and a Thunderbirds clock as a child.

Member
Alison

I thought the 18th looks more like a car manufacturer to me and it is! Proton

Day 17- I love today’s series. Funny stuff! I love the theme tune aswell. 👍

Member
STEVEN

Don’t think Daniel has watched anything within the last 20 years!

Member
DivitLad

Don’t blame him cos it’s rubbish tv lol

Member
Tracy

It would probably be too easy with very recent shows. It needs to be a bit of a challenge.

Member
DivitLad

What’s with the US made shows, Britian makes tv shows also lol

Member
Paul

I know, there’s only been one UK series so far!
