February 2019 Anagram – Win £10

Each day in February a new anagram will be displayed below. If you manage to answer a question correctly you will receive 2 entries into the draw. If you get the question wrong you will receive 1 entry (just for giving it a try). All entries will be pooled at the end of the month and one winner drawn at random.
For those who do not know, an anagram is the result of rearranging the letters of a word or phrase to produce other words, using all the original letters exactly once. For example the letters TEARG could be rearranged to make the word GREAT.
The competition started on 1st February 2019 and runs until the end of the month. The last question will be shown on 28th February 2019, with the winner being announced here on 1st March 2019. The winner will then have 24 hours to claim their £10 cash prize.

🦋 This anagram game has got it in for me !😡 Twice in this past week I’ve almost submitted the wrong answer☺️ and nearly done it again !😂🤷🏻‍♀️, I got so excited that I knew the First word without having to think, so I put the word in but couldn’t get the last word to be part of it, I DEFINITELY saw “ ERECTILE FEATHER “ but then the “F “ disappeared when I quadruple checked !🤷🏻‍♀️ also I couldn’t believe Daniel would put that as an anagram, I mean, come on, erectile feather ?!?!🤦🏻‍♀️🤯🤣. Daniel, please can you make… Read more »

Oh Maggie, that really made me laugh, erectile feather! 3 letters sounds good. I am struggling with today’s so far, no excuses really as I am Scottish!

🦋Guisgriff56, glad I was able to make you laugh with the erectile feather, although I think Daniel deserves the praise for that one ‘cos I DEFINITELY saw “ erectile “ !! 🤪. As for today’s clue, I’m glad I DEFINITELY got it as I’m Scottish also, just think of what we call a “ piece “ and that should help you 😉☺️🦋

🦋 I had the same problem but finally managed to get on it just before 10pm, I thought it was just me, I tried my iPad then my iPhone, my laptop, my sons laptop, my husbands iphone, his tablet etc,etc ( 8 machines in total I tried it on !😂 ) you get the gist ? I don’t know why I thought it would work on any of the other machines when I couldn’t get it to work on just two !!🤣🤣🦋

🦋 I’ve only gone and done it again !! What is wrong with my brain lately ??🤔🤯 2 days ago I typed PORNSTAR into the answer box, I was just about to submit that answer when I realised just in the nick of time that there were 2 letter T’s in the anagram so I quickly changed it to the correct answer. Then today’s word I definitely knew it !!……….the anagram was BLOWING and the clue was GAME so I was well chuffed to get the answer immediately and typed the correct answer in the box……..BUBBLES !……..I very nearly submitted… Read more »

Are these anagrams getting easier? The answers are already there in front of your eyes.

I agree. There have only been two that I haven’t got within 2 seconds. But then again it is mainly for fun so there is no need for them to be difficult.

Darn It!!
I was typing in todays answer and accidentally pressed send with only 2 letters entered lol 😂 that’ll teach me to do it after consuming a bottle of wine!! 🤣😂 I sent it again when I had put in the full answer just in case. 🤞 T.x

I looked at yesterday’s the other way around, that of carthorse being the clue and nice music as being the anagram. I don’t know why but it looked that way to me. I wasn’t even looking for carthorse when trying to solve it.

Don’t worry Susan, it’s not as bad as me thinking the answer was Tops Office…

Susan

I don’t think today’s is possible to answer. I even used an anagram unscrambler and nothing came up. It will be interesting to see what answer comes up tomorrow.

🦋Tracy, it is an anagram competition and as the letters are shown mixed up it can only be one thing, with a bit of luck you’ve entered the correct answer the first time.🤔🤷🏻‍♀️🦋

Tracy

Tracy

Thanks Maggie I know it’s an anagram competition but I thought it could be MATTRESS or STEAMERS. After I wrote the message I realised it would be unlikely to be STEAMERS because it was a pleural. T.x

Ruskin

I suppose since there apparently is a shop called Tops Office that should also be allowed considering it fits the description “shop” better than Post Office really does

Tracy
Member

I put in POST OFFICE for that anagram but I notice that one confused a lot of people. I was referring to day 4 thinking it could have been MATTRESS or STEAMERS after I wrote the message I realised it would be unlikely to be STEAMERS. Fortunately I wrote MATTRESS 1st so hopefully I got 2 points. T.x

Lol I got it completely wrong! I put Tops Office! Which is an actual store, I googled it. I thought it might be something nearby where the site owners live. Lol I feel like such a fool…

Where is this store called “Tops Office”? I see a Tops Office Supplies, with the web address http://www.topsoffice.co.uk, but that is all. Although most of us wouldn’t regard the Post Office as being a shop, the definition of shop is “a building or part of a building where goods or services are sold.” – so it is appropriate.
