hi, question hasn’t updated today.

Regarding the great saltire dispute, I would say that Jamaica has A [my emphasis] saltire but Scotland has THE [my emphasis] Saltire (try googling it in inverted commas). Therefore, Daniel was more than generous to accept Jamaica. By the way, I only googled it in inverted commas out of curiosity because I was certain in my own mind that only Scotland is THE Saltire. I agree with Christine how patient Daniel has been.

Hi Daniel, Thank you, not being a “Gamer” had no idea of the answer, but appreciate you allowing Super Mario as well as Tetris.

Puzzled by answer to Nintendo Game Boy question, (Hope I don’t sound like the dreaded Guest) because I looked for ages trying to get the answer as I didn’t know it, but on more than one site the answer was given as Super Mario Land, with Tetris included in the bundle?

Why do you hide behind the anonymous “Guest” ? If you’re so sure of your facts become a member and let other members see exactly who is placing these comments. Although I don’t think I could cope with any more of your patronising comments and also can’t believe how patient Daniel has been and how politely he replied to you! At least he has retained his dignity! So angry I’m having to watch my language!!!

Obviously some troll who has nothing else to do, Daniel has remained the bigger person responding to this idiots comments, who has not.really got a comeback as he/she hasn’t logged in, obviously ashamed as play as guest

There could be two answers for today’s question, as it was sold as a stand alone item or as a bundle with either one of the two games, i cant mention yet.

Hi Chris I agree you obviously saw the same Google response as I did. To be honest my first thought was one of the answers but just confirmed

“The Saltire is which country’s flag?” Depends on the colours involved and/or on the definition of “country” (i.e. does it mean an independent nation which is a member of the United Nations in its own right?)

Daniel

Daniel

There’s only one answer fam.

Guest

Ever seen the flag of Jamaica?

Guest

STILL no acknowledgement of your error, in declaring that there is only ONE answer when you have been advised of another – Jamaica has a saltire flag.

Guest

Interesting that you choose to approve comments which support your view (however erroneous), but block any which demonstrate – and correct – your error.

Susan

What are you talking about? You make no sense whatsoever. There is, as Daniel says, only one answer.

Guest

Never heard of Jamaica?

Andrew

Oh, bore off!

Guest

So a bore (for you) is someone who knows something you don’t – e.g. the fact that Jamaica has a saltire flag?

Guest

So EIGHT people (all of the downvoters) wouldn’t recognise the flag of Jamaica?

Okay, some of these questions are a little obscure. It’s not like we are going to know the answers without looking them up.

Oh dear, today for me it had to be a google search. I have never heard of this book.

I think I misread yesterdays question as what is a male animal called. All I could think is that male cats are called Tom cats so Tom must be the answer lol

Susan
Member

I thought the same – that it was Tomcat, I’ve never heard of a turkey being called a Tom.

Haha I put “Hoote-nanny” for Scotland’s New Year’s Eve. I think perhaps that it’s just a Jools Holland thing.

Perhaps Daniel you should read the first line of text about the comp, did we have a quiz on October (copy and paste error I think).

Guest

A very unkind/snide comment – I suppose you have never made a mistake (!?!) – and you could at least have been constructive, such as by suggesting that the text be amended to reference “this month” (which could thereafter be copied and pasted and still remain accurate).
