This Month's Winner Is…
Louise
DOB: 22/07/1968
[Claimed]
Every day you will be shown a famous slogan, and your challenge is to work out the well known brand behind it. Some will be instantly recognisable, while others may really test your advertising knowledge. A brand new slogan challenge awaits you daily.
All you need to do is name the brand that uses the slogan. If you get it right, you will earn 2 entries into the prize draw. Even if your answer is not correct, you will still receive 1 entry just for taking part. Use your knowledge of famous slogans and catchphrases to identify the brand we are looking for. At the end of the month, all entries will be pooled together, and one lucky winner will be drawn at random.
The competition started on 1st September 2026 and runs until the end of the month. The final question will be posted on 30th September 2026, with the winner announced here on 1st October 2026. The winner will then have 24 hours to claim their £10 cash prize. If the prize is not claimed by 11am on 2nd October 2026, it will be forfeited, and no late claims will be accepted.

Well done Louise!
Thanks, wishing you luck for this month 🤞
I had to look up today’s, I had no idea so I’d say it’s not a winning slogan. Out of curiosity, how many of you 80s people remember these ones, no cheating. It shouldn’t be a spoiler, because the name is in the slogan and none of the previous slogans have done that. What goes up, must come down, super fresco makes it easy it’s by ______ ___ _____ (6, 3, 5) How about this one – _________ we know, the meaning, of cleaning (9) Are you now singing them in your head and how long did it take to… Read more »
I know the first one, but the second, I have no idea. But good fun as the first song is now on replay lol. 🙂
🤣🤣 Sorry Tracy, but they knew how to hook you in the 80s. The second one used to stop quite abruptly at the commas and make the syllables more noticeable, rhyming mean-ing and clean-ing. Maybe it’s not a surprise, but they were (and I think still are) a cleaning company, 🤣 dry cleaning to be precise. It sounds strange that a cleaning company used to advertise on national TV. Just checked, it aired from mid 70s to 1987. Apparently “the jingle was set to the upbeat tune of the 1920s standard “Button Up Your Overcoat”… But I’m not that old.
I also know the first one, never heard of the second one. What about “you do the _____ and __ to put the freshness back” and “now hands that do dishes can feel soft as your face, with mild green _____ _______”
Oh yes Wendy, they bring back memories, she definitely gave it her all in the first one, it was enough to make you feel exhausted. 🤣🤣
I know both answers. They were catchy.
Yay Tracy! I was starting to think I was the only nutter on here who remembers a dry cleaning ad.
Welcome to the party! 🥜🤪
I don’t know either of Alison’s, but I certainly know the two Wendy posted. Amazing how they stick in the brain, isn’t it? I still can’t hear the Dambusters March without thinking “I bet he drinks _______ _____ _____”!
If you weren’t around or didn’t watch a lot of TV in the 80s, you probably wouldn’t know because neither of mine were companies that are well known today. Wallpaper and dry cleaning companies rarely make it into today’s adverts.
I remember your one, those ads were so funny.
I love your name change Daniel (not that one). 🤣
Now they decide to put the name of the product in the slogan (26), typical! 🤣
So feel free to answer any of the extra puzzles on the 30th, just in case they come up. 😊
Finland want a chat…
I saw that. I’ve gone with ______Land and not ______World for my answer
I put both.
I also put ——land
I just put Disney 🙁
I could be wrong but I don’t believe the answer for day 17 is correct
Hi fishworm. Well spotted. This has been corrected! Good Luck, Daniel
I heard today’s in my head as I was reading it.
I have been so confident in the past few days, not even stopping to think, just BAM! Answered! Done!
My indecisive mind is not liking the confidence, but tough! I’m doing it anyway!
Wish I had that. I usually get it right but then doubt myself
It’s far too easy to do that, you end up saying it too much in your head, then it just sounds wrong!
Trust yourself Stuart! BAM! Done! You can do it! We all believe in you! 😁
I just can’t help hearing you as the new voice of Cillet Bang, I’m afraid, Alison 😆😜🤣😁
Maybe I am! 🧴 it’s the closest thing I could find. 🙄
The disappointing thing about it though, when I get home and bang my bottle on the worktop, my kitchen still looks like a tip! No bang! Nothing!
It’s false advertising! 😜
🤣🤣🤣
Missed yesterdays and would of known the answer ‘Marmite’ if had email reminder, havent had an email reminder today so gone onto Google to open fbl app. Seniors need reminders.
I have the website in a “daily tabs” folder on my computer. It has all the websites I need to use that day and I just work my way through it, otherwise I’d forget half the things I need to do on a daily basis.
Me too, although I still forget that I haven’t finished them all, but some have to be visited at different times of the day.
Well that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it! 😁
I have arranged mine in the order they need to be visited. And some websites have to be visited twice at different times so they get two bookmarks
@Aileen- omg that’s so simple and yet so clever! I have mine arranged in order in a tab group, but never even thought of putting probably-the-same-one-you’re-thinking-of in twice. I’ll do that now 👍
I have missed days; sometimes it’s because I had no reminder, but other times I forgot.
I thought today’s and yesterday’s were very easy, but they are if you have heard the clue before.
I like the ads from the 80s & 90s, it was the time when we watched broadcasts live & had to sit through them.
I have free Disney+ so I have to watch ads, but the same ones every time, arghh, you tune out! At least we had variety back then and they related to the product, I have watched a woman trying to beat her colleague at scanning in a warehouse, who doesn’t know he is in a race, about 50 times this month and I have no clue what they are trying to sell me. Epic fail! 📉
I don’t know most of them as I didn’t grow up in the UK and unless it was the same slogan (translated) in my own country then I don’t know. I only knew KitKat, M&M’s and Gilette as these were the same in my country but the rest I had never heard of, but Google is my friend.
wrong today that’ll teach me to not think it through
I put Cuprinol 🙂
Oh no. I had to Google yesterday’s and it said it was AT&T so I put that as my answer. 🙈
Oh dear! You must be young Susan, because I remember “let your fingers do the walking”.
You can’t always trust Google, I am watching my weight and found some naturally sweetened chocolate bars 😋🍫🤤 which are really nice, too nice! So yesterday I asked Google if their claims were true, trying to make sure there were no hidden nasties, I was told to eat a handful of berries instead. 🫐🍓🤣🤣
They may take over the world, but they’ll never have any fun in life. 🤣
It’s my own fault for trusting the first AI answer that came up instead of looking properly. 🤦♀️ I do come from a time when we didn’t have a home phone and had to walk 15 minutes to the nearest phone box to call anyone. (Usually my nan) I also remember yellow pages and telephone directories in every phone box. I just didn’t recognise the slogan. I think I was about 10 when we got a home phone.
Oh dear on the chocolate. Everything in moderation though hey. 😉
I remember “let your fingers do the walking” too, back when there were phone boxes all over, and we had big phone books and The Yellow Pages posted to every house.
I do remember the yellow pages. Spent hours looking for stuff in there! Just didn’t recognise the slogan. I also remember the yellow pages getting thinner and thinner and thinner until it could no longer be used as a door wedge. 😂
Yes, and smaller and smaller, so it was hard to read unless you had a huge magnifying glass to use.
Anyone else sing todays slogan in their head 🤣
Instantly heard it in my head, music and all.
Have you accepted Minstrels for yesterday’s answer?
We are in England and it was the slogan for Minstrels throughout the 80s. Mars also used this slogan for Treets during the 1960-70s.
Hi Alison. Yes, Minstrels / Treets and M&M’s are all accepted as correct answers as they all used the same slogan. Good luck! Daniel.
Thanks for the confirmation 😊
Never heard of Ministrels in my life but I grew up in Belgium with Treets. Didn’t put Treets though, put M&M’s as I’ve totally forgotten about Treets. Reminds me now of RAIDER (Twix)
o no not had an email for last couple of day so forgot all about this 🙁
Me too…
I just try and remember as part of a rountine 🤔
I haven’t had a reminder email for the past 2 days either, missed out on the 9th , yesterday 10th found an email in my delete box and clicked on that and got through, today done the same still no email reminder.
I had not had one since the 7th until tonight. I remembered to log in, though.
Received email reminder last night and this morning
I’ve not had an email for probably more than a year.
Hi Paul. I’ve just checked and see you had previously unsubscribed from the daily e-mails. If this wasn’t intentional, you can resubscribe via the ‘Profile’ link on the website. Any issues just let me know. Thanks, Daniel.
Well, I’m British, so I put ‘Minstrels’, and I stand by that as a correct answer.
I don’t particularly like M&M’s, the chocolate is not so good. They stole the idea from Smarties, anyway.
I have always liked smarties.
I put Minstrels too and I don’t like M&Ms either. I never thought about Nestlé Smarties, I worked for Mars, it was never mentioned that they copied the idea and it never occurred to me either.
Hi Jackie. Yes, Minstrels / Treets and M&M’s are all accepted as correct answers as they all used the same slogan. Good luck! Daniel.
yesterday’s could have been for Minstrels, that was the saying back when they advertised them on uk tv adverts
I remember today’s slogan as “probably the best lager in the world”, not beer, apparently they are both right. Lager started from the 70s, but they realised Beer is recognised better in different languages so they changed it.
Oh dear! I’m showing my age again. 😭
We decided that “beer” was probably the American version of the ad as we’d never heard anything other than “lager” so we’re showing our age more than you, Alison 🤣👵👴🤣
🤣 You are probably right Aileen, have you ever heard an American try to say lager in an English accent (I’m referring to Ross in Friends). The funniest thing is they think there is an English accent! 🤣 You only have to travel 50 miles in England to hear an accent you don’t recognise!
When I lived in east London and worked in Chelmsford I was known as “the cockney girl”, 25 miles door to door! Unbelievable! 🤣
I am enjoying both this month’s games.
Hi Tracy. I’m very glad to hear that you are enjoying them both. Good luck! Daniel
Congratulations to Karon and Linda. Good luck to everyone for this month’s games.
Congratulations to Linda. Hope you claim.
Good luck to everyone for September.
