Well done winner – I did say on day 2 that I had no chance of winning as I missed the first one – got all the others correct, without the aid of google!!!

Excited to see who wins this competition… last riddle tomorrow! Had fun playing this game so thank you Free Birthdate lottery for giving us something to look forward to on top of the general excitement of checking the daily draws.

Today’s riddle is similar to the first one we had

Oh Hazel you do make me giggle but I thought this was riddle month not joke month!?? T.x

rjcompies

Love todays riddle! Thanks for makinig me smile, Hazel and making my boy laugh! 🙂
Oops! I did remember to hit send amongst the hilarity, didn’t I – did you get my answer ok?

Shane
Member

Does “an argument” count for number 21?

Maggie
Member

Shane, I don’t think “an argument” is a “proper” answer as you do get some people who “want” an argument!! and # 21 specifically says “what is it hat NO-ONE WANTS” do you understand what I mean?? If I’m wrong then of course I’m sorry and hopefully Hazel, who runs this fab site will correct me on that but I don’t think I am.?

Shane
Member

I think I said a fight, but I can see reasons why fight, argument and lawsuit might all be wanted. A solicitor for example WOULD want a lawsuit. And a boxer would want a fight…

Thomas
Member

And a woman would want an argument… 😉

Maggie
Member

Thomas,I bet you’d have an argument in an EMPTY house!!???

Tracy
Member

Is that right Thomas?
In my experience it’s always the other way around!!
The only exception to the rule is when you men go out of your way to provoke us!! T.x ?

Help!!
I started to submit the answer to today’s riddle and my phone submitted the answer before I had typed it in correctly. Can I email you my full answer?

Shane
Member

Just an idea if you do this kind of comp again: we could have a points system where every entry submitted gets 1 entry into a draw. Every correct answer gets an extra entry (max 1 entry pppd)- then have a lottery/lucky dip of all the names in the hat to see who wins. Would stop new players being put off entering if they’re late to the game.
You could be really lucky and win from only one answer, or you could work to get the odds in your favour by entering correctly every day.

jcp
Member

Oh no! Yesterday’s question “The more there is the less you see” has the answer “Darkness”. I put “Fog”!

rjcompies
Member

Yes, I wondered about putting fog too, you’re not alone there!

Guest

If you have a look a bit further down the page, you’ll see a post from Hazel that says if there are more than one “genuine answer”, i.e. not the exact one she was looking for, you’ll still get full points. Fog seems a genuine answer to me 🙂

Maggie
Member

Whilst I understand what you’re saying Andy I think Hazel MEANT you CAN submit 2 ANSWERS IF you’re unsure BUT NOT just 1 answer, basically jcp SHOULD HAVE put BOTH ” Darkness ” AND ” Fog ” NOT just ” Fog ”
For future reference if ANYBODY is UNSURE of the answer Hazel has AND there IS MORE than 1 CORRECT answer then you can SUBMIT BOTH CORRECT ANSWERS on 1 ENTRY FORM. ???

I hope everyone is having a good Bank Holiday weekend?,not many days left until your holiday Andy, are you all packed, ready to go? ? Hi Haze, hope you’re doing ok, you too Tracy?? ?

Guest

Hi Maggie…..I’ve got a few things ready for my holiday but not everything. I start 5 night shifts tonight, so my holiday seems a long way away right now 🙁

Maggie
Member

Aw,poor you Andy, having to work 5 night shifts BEFORE you go on holiday must be the pits? but on the bright side ,….at least you’ve got your holiday to look forward to and you can have some relaxing time away.???

Guest

True but guess what shifts I come back from my holiday to do…..4 nights 🙁

Maggie
Member

? that’s unbelievable! They give you some holiday time but don’t let you have the enjoyment as you’re thinking about the shift you go back on! ?

Andrew
Member

This has left me confused now too, I just know that if I put one answer, it will be the other one that is right!

Maggie

I’ve been sitting here thinking about the things my kids used to say when they were younger and one of the ones that springs to mind was:- “Mummy, you’re a good slapper, aren’t you?” I was gobsmacked that my 7 yr old had heard he word, let alone call me one! Can anyone guess what my son was on about??…… Come on Andy, Hazel & Tracy, get your thinking caps on! ??…… ANYONE else want to join in you’re more than welcome! ?

Guest

Well, apart from the obvious answer ❗ , I suppose with several boys to keep in line you probably had to resort to corporal punishments on occasion. I do however note that at no point have you denied being a slapper, so I can only assume that the cap must loosely fit 😛

Phrases like “ANYONE else want to join in you’re more than welcome!” only serve to reinforce what your son said!!!! 😛

Maggie
Member

I WILL give YOU a SLAP! ??….. actually it wasn’t ANY of your answers Andy, sorry mate! ?? I had some frozen sausages that had stuck together and I slammed them down on the kitchen worktop and when they separated my little boy came out with the ” mummy, you’re a good slapper, aren’t you??” ??? he cracked me up with some of the things he used to say…..another time I was a “good cooker” ??

Maggie
Member

A query Hazel, you mention near the beginning of this comp that it is ‘specially designed for the most loyal members’??? Am I ONE of the MOST loyal or am I THE MOST LOYAL???….. Think carefully now, answers on a postcard please to…….ME ! ????xxx

Shane

What begins with a “V” and women use it to get what they want?

Maggie
Member

Her VOICE!!, I use mine all the time to get what I want!! ?

Maggie

This one might NOT be allowed,if not then i’m sure Hazel will delete it,here goes………
How do you make a hormone??…..

Carl
Member

Leave without paying

Maggie
Member

Almost Carl…… don’t pay her!

Guest

That was the most common answer I found but there were also lots which suggested hitting or kicking in certain unmentionable places….

Maggie
Member

??? OMG! I didn’t think there was any other mentionable things!!??

Guest

Is it me or are people steering clear of committing themselves to answer? 😀

I’ve found several answers to your riddle Maggie and none of them have been “under 18 friendly”……maybe the one you have in mind is though 😉

I hadn’t realised extra riddles were being posted, I answered the current day’s official riddle and then went elsewhere on the site.

Maggie
Member

I can’t remember who thought of this game but it’s brill and can be very funny!, what are the answers you are thinking of,,…you can tell me how many letters, the 1st, middle and last letter and I’ll let you know if that’s possibly the correct one!! ???

Guest

Talking about putting 1st and last letters etc., have you ever seen the paragraphs where all the letters in the words are mixed up yet you can still read it without a problem? I won’t post it unless anyone hasn’t seen it and is interested …..

Maggie
Member

I’d be game for that!???

Maggie
Member

Love it Haze, we should do things like this every day,it is fun and breaks up an otherwise boring, monotonous ( big word for me eh Andy?? ??) day.

Guest
Hi Maggie, I don’t know if you’ve seen this before but here are the paragraphs I mentioned….. ============================================= ANOTHER INTERESTING THING ABOUT THE HUMAN MIND. I see what you’ve done there Maggie….mixed all the letters up…..but to read it easily, the first and last letters have to be in the right place.

Maggie
Member

As Frank Sinatra sang ‘ I did it my way’,?? I mix mine up to make it more complicated!!…. Just like me!? …but did you get them all right??

Guest

Yes Hazel, that’s correct. The paragraphs I mentioned (and you’ve obviously seen) explain that 🙂 It is weird the first time you see it though, isn’t it.

How about we play a riddle-game-within-the-riddle-game? If you answer the riddle, you have to set a new one. If you can’t think of one, you’ll have to wait and see If the answer you had comes up! Put your answer on the original post, then start a new comment with your own riddle. (Technically I think it’s hevwal’s turn now! – but my Batman Forever riddle hasn’t been answered –
