August 2021 – Anagram Game – Win £10
Each day this month a new anagram will be displayed below. If you manage to answer a question correctly you will receive 2 entries into the draw. If you get the question wrong you will receive 1 entry (just for giving it a try). All entries will be pooled at the end of the month and one winner drawn at random.
For those who do not know, an anagram is the result of rearranging the letters of a word or phrase to produce other words, using all the original letters exactly once. For example the letters TEARG could be rearranged to make the word GREAT.
The competition started on 1st August 2021 and runs until the end of the month. The last question will be shown on 31st August 2021, with the winner being announced here on 1st September 2021. The winner will then have 24 hours to claim their £10 cash prize. If you don’t claim your prize before 11am on 2nd September 2021 you will unfortunately lose out. No late claims accepted.
Congratulations Mandy!
Congratulations Mandy!
Good luck everyone 😀👍
Today’s answer was on my bucket list for years. I was finally able to cross it off my list a couple of years ago. The experience was completely underwhelming 😒
Hi liverpool girl – it all depends on where you go! Having worked on a Naval Air Station I always fancied a trip in one. Got my chance when in Las Vegas – The Grand Canyon was overwhelming!!!
Did you feel safe riding in the helicopter? Every so often you hear of a private aircraft going down. A billionaire (who could afford the very best) went heli-skiing and the copter crashed.
Yes its safe, like anything else incidents do happen, doesnt matter how much money you have, even the most well looked after vehicle can breakdown or malfunction, nothing is incident proof.
I felt perfectly safe. It was 15 minutes around North Liverpool. It was just like being in a car except a bit higher up. It was definitely not worth what we paid for. It wasn’t even worth £10 😧
It was on my bucket list too but I was thrilled when I achieved it – flight over the Lake District and the pilot was kind enough to drop down low right over my own house!
Wow, the lakes is a lovely place, specially bownes with the swans. Love it.
I have had one of these, found it great. I have a big passion for all that fly, would love to experience g force in a fighter jet, but this I think will have to stay as a dream, I go to air shows all the time when they are on. Southport one is fantastic.
Just got todays, I think im right. I so want to give a clue to everyone. Found this one tricky today Daniel, your keeping us on our toes.
I can usually get most of them fairly quickly but others like today’s find really difficult! Think my brain is deteriorating rapidly.
Yep, I agree. LOL.
Isn’t today’s answer a tad optimistic?
Hi Daniel, for yesterday’s clue I put down ‘movie thing’ rather than ‘movie night’. Would that be an acceptable answer as well, as popcorn can be described as a ‘movie thing’??
Me too Jane.. me too LOL popcorn sure is a ‘movie thing’ isn’t it?
Hi. I’m happy to accept that as a ‘correct answer’. Good Luck, Daniel.
Something very fishy happened to me on this site. On the survey draw I was asked Something like what do you think Google photos allows you to. All the choice answers were actual Google photo features but 1, one of the choices was specific to me like a personal folder in my phone somewhere. Very weird. I think I’m gunna be leaving this sadly. Just wanted you all to know and what you think
I’d be very surprised if its Freebirthdaylottery problem. I think I’d be looking at your phone to make sure that it doesn’t have some tracking software that has enabled Google to identify the particular folder on your phone. Do you transfer content between a computer and your phone as that would be a prime example of such an occurrence. I hope you get it resolved 🤔
Totally agree with you Stuart, you have to be careful with some of the google adverts, correct me if im wrong, these are the ones that track your cookies arnt they, nothing to do with the adverts put on by the site.
Hi Guest. I’m replying to your original message here as you posted on the other page that I have deleted this message (which I haven’t). It is still here and others have been able to reply to it too. The survey draw you refer to uses Google Surveys. The questions asked as part of the surveys are questions that Google are asking. If you are a Google user and are logged into your Google account then it is very possible that they will ask you questions about the services you use with them and they must therefore be aware of… Read more »
Wouldn’t “chicken tapas” be a correct answer too? I googled it and there are lots of recipes for it.
Oh my gosh, that is what I put too! I didn’t even think pasta. 😀
But then the clue would only have been half an anagram….
LOL! Half an anagram still an anagram.
Hi. I’m happy to accept that as a ‘correct answer’. Good Luck, Daniel.
Thank you Daniel! I realize most of you are in the UK but here in the US “chicken pasta” is a term I almost never hear. Restaurants will give it a fancier name like “Chicken Alfredo” maybe so they can charge more.
Hi Bernie. No problem. I’ve had Chicken Alfredo before at Olive Garden – Absolutely delicious. I could just eat some now! All the best, Daniel
Getting into the festive spirit? Only 4 months to go!
Found the anagram for 15th very difficult, took me ages, but got it in the end. Did anyone else find it hard?
Yes – managed to get the second word, but can’t see the first yet.
Got it! I’d made an incorrect assumption.
Once you get the second word its quiet easy
Yes. I found it tough too. I figured the first word out first then the second came naturally.
Google makes nothing hard!
Hi Christine. Some of the anagrams are really easy but I do like to get your minds working and try to include some more difficult ones now and again. After all, you don’t want easy ones everyday do you ?? Good Luck! Daniel.
Best month of them all 😀
Hi Daniel
Everything ok?
I asked a question regarding my answer a few days ago but you didn’t reply. Is everything ok?
I don’t think Daniel is on every day?
Hi. I’ve just spotted your question and answered it now – your answer was received the other day. Any urgent questions can be sent via the ‘Contact’ page and I will get back quicker – just so you know for the future. Thanks again, Daniel.
Thank you.
My favourite seaside town!
Today’s answer is where I live
Beautiful town Jane, one of my favorite places. Love the quay.
I needed a little bit of help with this one today. I’ve never even come across that word before!
I have heard of the breed but had to check how it was spelt.
Same, just had to check spelling
Hi Daniel
I submitted yesterday’s form but didn’t get the form submitted message. Did my entry go or not? Thanks.
Hi Khadija. I can confirm that your answer was received. Thanks, Daniel
There is a theme developing here 😄
Yes, I noticed that 😂
Congratulations to Yvonne.
Thank you
