This Month’s Winner Is…
Philip
DOB: 03/06/1963
[Claimed]
Every day you’ll see a famous film quote, but one key word is missing. Your challenge is to work out the missing word and complete the quote correctly. Some will be instantly recognisable, others may test even the biggest movie fans. A brand new cinematic challenge awaits you daily.
You just need to guess the missing word from the film quote. If you get it right, you will earn 2 entries into the prize draw. Even if your guess is not correct, you will still receive 1 entry just for taking part. For an extra bit of fun, you can also try to name the film or film franchise the quote comes from, but there are no extra entries for that. At the end of the month, all entries will be pooled together, and one lucky winner will be drawn at random.
The competition started on 1st January 2026 and runs until the end of the month. The final question will be posted on 31st January 2026, with the winner announced here on 1st February 2026. The winner will then have 24 hours to claim their £10 cash prize. If the prize is not claimed by 11am on 2nd February 2026, it will be forfeited, and no late claims will be accepted.

Congrats Phillip 😁👍
Congratulations Philip!
Don’t know this one number 28, any clues please would be much appreciated.
i know the film but couldn’t remember the exact word.
Clue – forgetting to eat and your body tells you
I don’t see how this clue is relevant to the missing word..
It’s a clue to the name of the fim Hilde?
Thanks for the people who voted my comment down, i was only trying to help Victoria, without telling them the answer
Sorry but wasn’t a good clue. Hunger yes tells you to eat, but when I read your clue the only thing that came into my mind was a rumbling stomach. When people ask for clues they mean a clue to the answer. The name of the film wasn’t the answer.
Feedback taken on board…
Yes once I saw that it was for the title of the film and not the answer word.
I had to google todays (28th) as I have never seen this film. It meant nothing to me even when I did that, never heard the saying.
Me neither, It doesn’t even make sense to me, I suppose you need context.
Me too.
Clue – when you have admiration and respect for someone, you pay this to them
This quiz shows how male actors have dominated film for the past 100 years. Poor ladies. 😛
oops.. I didn’t actually see the word on top as well.. I just read ‘where we’re going we don’t need …..’ 🙁
Oops. Neither did I. 🙈
I don’t think it matters it was the same word, “roads”, I doubt you needed to write it twice.
Roads? Where we’re going, we don’t need roads.
I missed the days games again
Day 23. Is there one letter to many or am I thinking of the wrong word? Thinking it’s someone’s name?? 🤔
No, it’s right. There’s a double letter.
Ah, my favourite film of all time, got this straight away as I must know a lot of the dialogue by heart!
Mine too
Loved today’s film….so funny!
classic
Some might think it’s silly, but for me it is genuinely “laugh out loud” funny, I liked the sequel too, it’s made me want to watch them now!
a brilliant film and the sequel was fantastically funny too.
As Alison said people ask for clues because I like to feel like we are a community helping each other out if we’re stuck with any of the puzzles and you’re not given the answer outright so you still have to think. 🤔
I didn’t know the answer either but I just used Google! Why the need for clues?
Getting a clue and then working it out is more fun than just being given the answer, I like to look at the chat, sometimes just to see if I’m on the same page as everyone else. It can also be nice to feel like we are all playing together.
So true
I do that too
Only use Google as a last resort.
Thanks for the clue. 😀
No idea on number 17 never watched the joker any clues would be much appreciated.
If there was a very important news article then the news reader would read it in a certain manner (begins with S)
Patrick Swayze’s changed (!) Apparently he never wanted to say that line and fought to have it removed from the script saying it was corny, but he was asked to try it just once, believing it would probably not make the edit.
He later understood it’s meaning and agreed it was right for the film, during his battle with cancer he kept his humour by saying “Nobody puts Patrick’s pancreas in a corner”. So sad, he was a fantastic dancer with great stage presence and some mighty say, easy on the eye.
Thanks for the clues.
didn’t know today’s – had to look it up
No idea what number 14 is, any clues would be much appreciated.
Another word for pal?
Think on the lines of Pal or buddy!
Opposite to enemy x
I seem to have known all of these straight away so far, despite only having watched a fraction of the films they are from! I guess it just shows how they become part of general weird background knowledge that you pick up without even realising 🤣
Todays (11th) is one of my favorite films.
So true
Same here.
i agree they’ve just become ingrained in culture
Thanks for the clues. Hope I entered the right word. 😀
Another quote from a film judging by the picture I wouldn’t have watched. Any clues please would be much appreciated.
Think “transfer fees”.
I haven’t seen this film either but the saying is quite well known, there are several memes with it. But think of something you put in your purse…
I could not get the site to load yesterday, all the browsers I tried were all the same, please check spelling of the search address. I was using the log in link from the email and tried typing it in myself but nothing worked.
Hi Tracy. Unfortunately we had some technical server issues from approx. 4:30pm until just after midnight last night. It was back up around 00:30 this morning. Apologies for the inconvenience, but it is all sorted now. Good luck! Daniel
Same here, tried various times throughout the day but gave up.
